hammer dulcimer, 120-bass accordion, pan flute, silver flute, cedar

self-taught but doesn't read written music. She uses the nickname "Hanai"
(which is Hawaiian for 'adopted one'.) but many people still call
her Kris. She was adopted at 3 months old, and grew up in the San
Francisco Bay Area. Read more

Kea
was Hanai's treasured Himilayan kitty born in 1989. In 1992 she
fell gravely ill with feline leukemia. Hanai began composing
several soft instrumental songs to help ease her pain. The first
one "KEA'S
SONG" was played on radio and TV in Salt Lake City. It is
now the most well-known and beloved of Hanai's music.
